One day only! Join us for annual open house and pictures with Santa at the Humane Society of Rome. Bring your pet, children or take a family photo! Cost is $10 regular frame or $15 for an upgraded frame. Your donation will help the animals at the shelter! We look forward to seeing you there!

The Empire Plate presents our 1st ever Chili Cook-Off: We have 20 contestants with a waiting list in case people can’t make it. There is a $25.00 entry fee per cook. Tickets will be sold at the door for $1.00 per ticket, and you can sample any chili of your choice. When done put your vote in box. We will have 2 winners who will receive a gift certificate from the Polish Home and a cash prize. Also will have vendors promoting or selling pet related items.  All money at door will be donated to the Rome Polish Home and to the Rome Humane Society’s Medical Fund Account to help animals with surgeries, medicines and any other expenses.
