ROME — Uvanni Motors of Rome aims to help homeless dogs and cats as they team up with The Humane Society of Rome throughout November.
Visit the Uvanni Motors showroom on Rome-Taberg Road and “Stuff the Trunk” of a 2007 Toyota Camry LE with food and items for the society. Make a donation and receive $100 off the advertised price of a car purchase, a free gift for your pet and a $5 gift certificate to All Creatures Boarding Facility in Rome. Everyone who stops by can enter to win a pet gift basket.
Immediate items needed include: copy paper, scoopable cat litter, bleach, fleece blankets, large raw hide bones, Pup-Peroni dog treats, Beggin’ bacon strips, soft cat treats and catnip.
Additionally, for every Facebook “like” at facebook.com/UvanniMotors, Uvanni Motors will donate $1 to the Society.
The Humane Society of Rome will be at the showroom with a selection of adoptable animals at 11a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Every Friday in November we are reducing the adoption fee for any adult black cat (over 6 months of age ) to $50. Please stop by the shelter or check our website to view all the wonderful animals available for adoption.
The Humane Society of Rome will have some dogs that are available for adoption at Petsmart from 12-2 pm. stop by and meet the animals who are still waiting for their forever homes.
