Join us to celebrate the Seventh Annual Canine Carnival at Jamesville Beach Park. All of the proceeds from the event go to benefit the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation, which in turn makes donations to a variety of animal welfare and rescue organizations in Central New York. This is a very worthwhile and fun event. Make sure you look for the Humane Society of Rome booth!
Our monthly Tails On The Trails outings enrich the lives of our shelter dogs in so many ways! It’s the joy of riding in a car, getting one-on-one attention from volunteers, smelling new smells, meeting new people or simply rolling around in fresh grass. These peaceful park & trail treks also give our pups additional exercise & training which helps them find good homes. We meet at the Humane Society of Rome at 9:30. Volunteer will transport a dog with their own vehicle to the destination site and need to be able to walk 2-3 miles.
