Join us for a PetSmart Adoption Weekend at Consumer Square in New Hartford. The HSR team will happily introduce you to some of our adoptable pets and answer your questions about the adoption process, volunteering, upcoming events, etc.

Our monthly Tails On The Trails outings enrich the lives of our shelter dogs in so many ways! It’s the joy of riding in a car, getting one-on-one attention from volunteers, smelling new smells, meeting new people or simply rolling around in fresh grass. These peaceful park & trail treks also give our pups additional exercise & training which helps them find good homes.  We meet at the Humane Society of Rome at 9:30.  Volunteer will transport a dog with their own vehicle to the destination site and need to be able to walk 2-3 miles.
